I am wondering if is okay to leave on the day that your ARC expires or if it is considered to be expired at that point. I would leave the day before it expires, but that day happens to be my birthday and I would rather not spend that day in transit.

Thanks in advance.

As long as you are out of the country by 12 midnight that day...you should be fine. I've left three times on the last day and never had a problem.

You have to be stamped out through passport control by 23:59 on the last date indicated on your ARC.

After you are though passport control you can stay in the secure zone at ICN for a day or two (there is a transit hotel in there) without worry.
