Have you seen "Young Adult" with Charlize Theron yet? Kinda gets into the workings of the phenomenon. Quite well done for a comedy.
Also, the franchise just came out with a companion soundtrack album. The particular offering by Taylor Swift, which just hit the charts, really sucks btw. |

Or complain about the quality of the books/movies. |
So, you don't think I, as an adult, will ever understand why the quality of books/film may be of importance, or aren't worth complaining about at times? I tend to think differently. Maybe I misunderstood you. |

I am not a fan of Stewart Lee at all, but I think he makes a good point in this clip.

I wasn't taking a jab at you in my previous post. That said, I think that critics and people who have ties to young adult entertainment and culture can offer sensible commentary. Joe Blow adult who watches Twilight or reads Hunger Games and says it sucks, well that's nice, but it wasn't really targeted at people like him to begin with.
Not saying people shouldn't complain, just that I can't see myself - or the authors and filmmakers - being sympathetic. |
