So, I'm in the market for a new mp3 player. After learning about the iPod touch and its wifi/voip/etc capabilities, then learning about other similar players, I have come to the conclusion that I've been living in a cave and need some assistance getting out into the sunlight! (My last, latest, and newest mp3 player was a Sansa Fuze, which I was blown away by until I got the white screen of death, is where I'm at. seriously.)

Ok.

I'm not really into Apple; price, the proprietary nature of i(x), the service-only battery, lack of expandability etc.

I'm also not looking for a smartphone

So, obviously, I'm livin in Korea atm and have found that prices are similar if not cheaper in the States. so location isn't a factor.

My needs for a player, aside from affordability, are audio and wifi for general browsing and for things like Skype, battery life, and an all-around sturdiness. GPS would be nice, though I've never used it before. An e-reader would also be nice. Video would be ok too.

I don't care much for games and many apps (though this may change. not the games bit. I just really don't give a flying f)

So which is the best player for my needs? I'm really tempted by the Galaxy Player 5.0, mainly because of battery life and screen size (as an e-reader), except the service-only battery is a bit ...daunting. The price I've found (as cheap as a 4.0) peppers the deal too

Also, the "technical" name for the Galaxy S Wifi 4.2 would be nice. I can't seem to locate it online
