Hello,
I'm new to the forum and have done some researching but couldn't find an answer.

I start work at a hagwon in june and have a question regarding the process with MOE.

I am on a F4 visa so I don't have to do anything with kimmi, but I still have to register my apostilled CBC/diploma with MOE, correct?

also with the health check, if there is a negative finding on the health check do you automatically lose your job? even if you don't need to be sponsored?

to be honest, I am hiv positive but have everything under control and I would like to teach in korea for a little bit. I just started reading that F series holders have to undergo health screenings now.

based on what i've been hearing you better pack your bags and think about heading home as thats where you're likely headed home, korean attitudes towards even being hiv+ are worse that us attitudes were in the 80s and they wont let you teach or even stick around.

yeah it sucks and they are so backassward on it its not funny but thats the way it is here.

sorry to break the news on this, i know people who are hiv+ who live productive lives in the states but koreans ARE that ignorant on this one

Make sure the hospital is on Immigration's approved list. If not, they will reject your application. It's happened to 2 people I know in Korea and they had to do the health check, again, at a different hospital. I know it's stupid but it's "the rules."
