I'm a complete newbie at this, but going around the forum I've read that you shouldn't apply to multiple recruiters if you want to get into a public school (but it's okay with private schools). Unfortunately, I've already done this, except with the first step applications and I haven't gone through interviews or what not. Am I still safe?

I'd like to get into GEPIK (or a public school in the Gyeonggi province) and I've applied to Teachaway, Korvia and Canadian Connections so far. I've only heard from the first two, but I had to reschedule interviews/further applications to later because I'm just not available at the moment. Any further suggestions would be soooooo great Smile

In my experience, some schools care, some schools don't.

I'm leaving my public school and one candidate we were interviewing as a replacement had applied to a couple of recruiters. Our head teacher asked him about it.

(It was kind of fun to watch him sweat and stumble over it) Evil or Very Mad

The fact that some schools care will limit your options but it isn't going to destroy your chances all together.

I emailed a GEPIK coordinator and asked if I can use multiple recruiters. He said "of course".

But if you're worried about it, you can just drop two and concentrate on one recruiter. Like the previous poster said, some schools might care about it, but GEPIK as a whole seems to have no problems with it.

When are you hoping to start the job? I am also going to apply to GEPIK but haven't reached out to recruiters yet.

I haven't done any interviews yet so I've heard I'm in the okay since it was only first applications, but I think I'll go with that, and stick to one recruiter for now, just to be safe.

I want to start in the fall/late summer. I applied several weeks ago but I didn't do any real researching until now.
