I like opening up and using a new bar of soap. It's bigger and fresher and seems to get the job done. The problem is I have about 5 smaller soaps that still aren't all used up yet.
Is there a way to either merge these smaller ones into the bigger one or to use up the smaller ones rather than just throwing them out?
The other day I just threw one of the small ones on the shower floor only to slip on it and fall on my ass the next day. |

in my opinion you should not waste the small pieces and mix them into your daily meals in little bite sized pieces for the added nutrients. |

But I don't want to wash myself with laundry soap - it feels and smells strange on me. With regular bath soap I can wash myself and my clothes. |
So, this is either a huge joke or you're as dense as a black hole. |

The Koreans seem to have devised a way to accomplish just that.
While in the gym I reached for a bar of soap only to find that it was in fact a two-three level "sandwiched-soap". Out of curiosity I tried to pry apart said sandwiched-soap, however it was impossible. I've noticed it a lot. My theory is the gym cleanup guy uses some sort of soap fusion tool employing extreme pressure plus some moisture.
Good luck with your soap research. |

...unfortunatly there may be patents involved by now.
Samsung has recently realized the importance of patenting and there is clearly a future in "sandwich soap fusion" as this internet activity demonstrates.
I would put three mini soaps in a clamshell flexible plastic CD case, close the case and duct tape it. Now put the clamshell case on your heated ondol, put a wood cutting board on top, and apply pressure (like you are searing a grilled cheese sandwich). Then toss it in the fridge so the heated blob contracts while cooling.
Remove from clamshell case and use. |

I have a recycled dish detergent dispenser. I put chipped bar soap remnants in it with a little water and...Voila!

Question: how do you guys deal with all the black "nut hairs" imbedded in the ivory soap bars at the jimjilbang? |

I just ignore them. After all, Korea is such a great and clean country, and I'm sure there's a significant and rich cultural tale behind it, so I just go with the flow. |

There was one really dug in deep the other day. I had to dig it out and it was as if the sucker had a mind of its own, digging in deeper! |

Heck, it's goofy stuff like this that makes me miss the entertainment of having roommates. |
