| Thinking of applying to a postion in Yeosu City and the surrounding areas. Anyone know much about this region and city? I've heard its beautiful, obviously rather small compared to other major Korean cities...just wondering about the to-do's i.e. cultural activities, nightlife, outdoor adventures etc. any advice would be appreciated!!! |

It's industrial and in the middle of nowhere but it's near the sea. I suppose it's not too far from Busan by bus.
Cultural activities will range from visiting a temple, eating Korean food, visiting a temple, eating Korean food and eating Korean food and mountain climbing/going to the beach and drinking.
There are some good day trips to nice locations in that area. There are many ...wait for it... temples, mountains and places to eat Korean food. It is definitely a more attractive looking part of the country than up north. |

| This year the World Expo is in Yeosu so it will probably be pretty busy. |
