Anyone have an optimus black by any chance?
I've been trying to upgrade to gingerbread for ages and still can't figure it out. The LG website has a tool, but even after installing drivers, my phone is not detected. The Korean model is different so all the upgrade information is in Korean and my language skills aren't good enough to really wade through technical guides and whatnot.
If there is anyone who upgraded successfully, I'd love some help!
Otherwise, if I take it to an Olleh store, can they do upgrades in store? Anyone ever try this with any android phone? |

I don't know about an Olleh store but you can take it to an LG Service Centre and they can upgrade it for you. I took mine in when I accidently kind of buggered mine up/bricked it when trying to do the upgrade myself from the internet. They were able to completely reset it and then install whichever OS I wanted, Froyo or Gingerbread, for no cost.
I'm sure they would do an upgrade for you. Search the interwebs for your nearest store. I went to one near Mia Samgeori Station. There's also one near Yongsan, I think. |
