I would add that Detroit (DTW) is a great airport for transit to asia. It is efficient and not as busy as say O'Hare.

A very wise man (Douglas Adams) once said:
It can hardly be a coincidence that no language on earth has ever produced the expression "As pretty as an airport."

The Bangkok airport got flames like crazy recently until it introduced snake lines to help prevent Russians, Chinese and Koreans from line cutting.

Charles de Gaulle used to be worse when people had to take the bus to Orly.
I would say that changing planes there sucks. The lines are long for non-EU people. I remember it being 30 minutes at passport control, and another 30 minutes to change my currency.

I am surprised LaGuardia is not on that list. Often flights don't take off on time.
O'Hare sucks just because it is so big and crowded. Changing terminals really sucks.

But I think Istanbul's airport is the worst. I had to get a visa just to go to the other part of the airport, only since my wife wanted to upgrade her seat.

You must have flown American or United. Not the fault of the airport. Smile

What? Are you even from New York?
How about not enough runways so planes have to wait?

How about the lack of a train station by the airport? Getting there is a pain. Which is why I prefer Newark.
How about changing terminals?
You have to take a bus to do that.

LaGuardia needs an upgrade.
