What service would be the most inexpensive to use in shipping things home? I'm moving back and in my time in Korea I've acquired a lot of stuff in the form of books, clothes and knick-knacks. I'm estimating about six big boxes, but if the average cost per box is around 100,000KRW, I think I may have to make some tough decisions on what to leave behind. What would be the cheapest and probably slowest way to get stuff back to the otherside of the world? Thank you. |

Depends on where home is.
48k won for a 20kg/#5 box going to north America by surface mail.
#5 is the biggest (post office box) that you can surface mail back to NA.
You can send a #6 by more expensive means.

Thanks. Yes, home is NA. So, it seems I need to get a specific, post office approved box to ship things back, e.i. a #5?
Thanks Again. |

No, it doesn't need to be a post office box but there ARE size restrictions to be aware of and #5 boxes don't cause you problems (or them to dig out the tape measure) when you are trying to send it.
They are also not expensive and work quite well. I sent about 20 #5 boxes from Korea to the Philippines when we finally completed our house there.
If you want to cut down and make your own boxes then 2 meters linear length is all that you get. (l+l+w+w+h+h <200cm)
