I worked for a private school, got fired, went to work for another school for three weeks, they then fired me. I found out that the previous employer had cancelled my Visa. I am now working at the new school and they are wondering about my visa status. I have a letter of release. But I don't know if I can transfer any more if the prev. employer said he had cancelled the visa. I don't know for certaina nd can not get to an immigration office because of the hours I work 9-6. So I am left making phone calls in between classes, to different places to find out what is going on.
I am not sure what to do. Also my documents are with Daegu education office and they say they will not release them so I have to buy more. I don't know why I keep getting stuffed over. It is getting very bad.
Really need advice. |

Are you now working for a third school? Or you're working for the second school (even though you've been fired)?
If the second school fired, you then get to immigration to report your change in status. They'll give you 2 weeks to get your stuff in order before you have to leave. Don't keep working for the school because you're probably not getting paid at the end of it all. You'll just end up overstaying your visa and likely have to pay a fine at the airport when you try to leave (about 100,000 Won per day). |

why are they wondering about it? did you ever visit kimmi at all when you were fired?
Kimmi keeps some offices open on Saturdays, not every week but you can definitely go online and find out what's open near you - even take a train -
if you don't know your visa status, no one here can really say much else.
take a deep breath, let it out and then begin to sort things out one at a time. |

Get thee to immigration or you will have serious problems later.
IF your visa was in fact canceled then you have problems to deal with.
If it was not canceled then you can transfer.
There is no answer to your problem on the phone. They can't do anything on the phone. GET your butt down to immigration and get it fixed.
If you leave it you will find yourself in a detention cell (missing classes permanently) rather than a day off to go and see them.

It seems you need to inquire about your visa status at Immigration. You don't know if the first employer is only threatening you or if they actually did cancel it and didn't give you the exit order. Usually the teacher goes with them to cancel the visa but they could have done it without. Simply ask about the status. |
