Hey guys got a bunch of documents i need to send tracked to south korea, the envelope is a4 size and weighs 175g. Right now at the post office they said they can send it 10 not tracked or 55 tracked, i need a tracking number Sad Checked with FedEx and they charge the same, DHL dont seem to deliver to south korea.

Does it really cost that much to send a few documents? How have all you lot done it?

I sent mine recently using UPS and it cost me about 53. There is a UPS depot near where I live in Nottingham. So I went there in person with ID like a passport and credit card statement, etc.

At the end of the day, you spent a lot of money to get the documents apostilled, notarised, etc. If you sent them for 10, it will take longer to arrive and you cannot track them. If they got lost, then you will have problems.

By spending the extra money using a courier, at least you know that you can track them and they will get to Korea much quicker.

I used this site: http://www.transglobal.org.uk/Default.asp?gclid=CMLnq8Om6rACFTMetAodLm24vg for my documents. I tried to register and send via UPS and FedEx online but the registration and sending process was a real ballache on both sites. Transglobal were easier to register with, and they provide all the different courier options which meant I sent by UPS in the end anyway but just through that site. I think it cost me about 45 including the insurance, which I'm not even sure if I needed it or not... and I got it collected the next day from my house too. Good luck!

Yeah it bites a bit to pay all of that when you've forked out so much for the docs in the first place. I just tell myself if they're lost then the delay will cost me so many weeks' wage, then it doesn't seem so expensive Wink

Yes DHL do deliver from the UK, but I think they don't deliver within Korea. So if you wanted to post things from Seoul to another city in Korea then they can't do that. But I have received stuff from DHL recently with no problems.

Personally I like to pay the little bit extra to get my stuff delivered safely and on time. I think after all the stress and money of getting them done, to have them lost in the British postal system would be a nightmare. DHL delivered a document recently for 30 pounds, but I have paid up to 50 to get them here quickly.
