lol! this. i actually pm'ed steelrails suggesting him this exact restaraunt although i couldn't remember the name. it's incredibly delicious. i highly recommend it to anyone looking for japanese ramen. their donkass and gyoza are phenomenal too. it's fun to watch them sear their meat and gyoza with a natural gas blowtorch too. |

Misoya's "sushi" is not remotely fresh and probably prepared by a machine in some factory in Seoul. Almost any department store food court will have better sushi than Misoya. |
Don't get me wrong, I'll eat Misoya and it's not bad food, and I've even been known to eat their sushi on occasion, but I can't imagine how anyone who has had even mediocre sushi would ever call it good. Good sushi requires a sushi chef, which Misoya definitely does not have. Ever. |
I usually eat their 회덥밥 which, at the one I go to, is really good~ *shrugs* I've had the super-expensive-prepared-by-a-chef-sitting-in-front-of-you sushi before, but sushi is not really my cup of tea~ I was just saying if you're looking for sushi and not just sashimi or kimbap, Misoya has lots of chains and can be found pretty easily~ I didn't know so many of the chains had disgusting sushi~ sorry, guys! |

Why do you have to be fluent in Korean to make a simple reservation? A few simple sentences, such as 6시에 예약 하고 싶어요, would suffice. |

No, I'm sorry, but they have crap sushi. EMart is ten times better.
Mislay is a last resort for sushi. |

| Right. Again: good sushi requires a sushi chef. No Misoya has a sushi chef. The fish is rubbery, the rice is dry, and it's generally overloaded with wasabi. There isn't some special Misoya with good sushi, it's ubiquitously bad. |

In my experience, any restaurant here that requires reservations and doesn't typically see a lot of foreign customers has an unnecessarily long and confusing reservation process. If you can get away with a simple one-line phone conversation, props.
But whichever way you do it, still check out D'Maris. That place is AWESOME. |

| So i went to Sushi Kal in Mapo last night and had some good sushi for a reasonable price. Its quite small and was packed out, it's always good sign. We had to wait around 15 mins for a table but the staff were friendly. The menu has english translations and the sushi chefs prepare the dishes in front of you if you sit at the counter. All in all, a good place for sushi. |

First of all, I've been patiently waiting for this movie for what feels like a year... is it out on itunes or bittorrent?
As for sushi, in Korea I have not had any real good sushi at a restaurant. I am an avid sushi-goer and the best sushi I've had was in Tokyo. Most of the basic sushi places in Korea have their sushi frozen, which totally kills it for me. There are some small boutique sushi places in apgujeong area that I've been to. They are good, but I cannot get over the feel of being ripped off. Maybe for 10 pieces of sushi, it costs about 70,000 won. Very small, too.
Honestly, this will sound strange, but the best sushi, especially for your buck will have to be Costco, hands down. I bought one of their platters that came with really nice Tuna. Big slices, soft, and moist.

Seconded..갓덴스시 is very good and prices very reasonable...Japanese sushi chefs too there.
