They used a flag to mark enemy territory! big deal. The North Koreans used South Korean fisherman to mark where their artillery shells would land a short time back.

Being a lackey of the bad ole hegemonic power has been a pretty sweet deal for South Korea. Lots of food, they can vote, nice apartments, healthcare.

It must be much better in the North!!!

Wow, way to disrespect the older generation. Most likely the generation that has fought for this country.

Remind me, what have you done for this place?

You mean those AmeriKKKan puppets?

I'm sorry, but since when has any country (two in this case) been allowed, with or without provocation, to bomb the flag of a UN member country as part of a military exercise?

.

I'm sorry but since when does not reading the article allow someone to make up what they think happened?

From the link YOU posted

The rockets didnt hit the flag, which an analyst said might lead to a less angry North Korean response.

They didn't bomb the flag they used it as a marker to denote enemy territory.

To totally ruin this argument, but it can't helped but be said, so I take it people here wouldn't shoot at a Nazi flag then? It would be wrong to bomb that?

It's too late to take out NK leadership.....shoulda listened when George Bush had a plan and the guts to do it.

I fear my son's generation. NK's nuke are (or will be) for export. They know that they do not need them on the Peninsula (except for sabre-rattling).

troll!!

They shot people, innocent civilians. They murdered sailors on a ship harming no one and you are whinging about a flag. Christ its a peice of cloth i dont care if they use the thing as toilet paper. That flag deserves no respect by anyone. The North has blown up civilian airliners and is suspected to be behind the Daegu subway fire, has sent assasination teams into the South and murdered civilians. You need to go live up there.

if you are not a troll you got some serious thinking prolems.

Notice how those same people who were saying how bad it was that the DPRK flag was used - say nothing about the video showing Obama on fire and a US city being nuked?

What I noticed in reading this is that many posters have absolutely no knowledge of the history of North Asia since WWII. Also they have absolutely no respect for anyone oranything other than some fad or entertainer.
The decline in educational standards is obvious.

the older generation, served in the miltary often at risk. Remember that there were assaination teams sent into the South in the early 90's. The older generation fought for democracy in this country often at risk for their lives. The dictatorship massacred , jailed , thousands but the older generation did not back down. The Older generation earned their democracy. They also built the country with hard work. Showing them disrespect is disgusting.

North korea also has war games. Mostly plans to attack the South. So my point is to troll this board is silly but at least it exposes the ignorance of some on here. Stop facebooking and read a book on modern Asian history.

the U.S. is here because Russia, China, Japan want them here. A balannce of power agreed on after WWII. It worked, China, Japan, South Korea have all became prosperous.

The Kim family up North are the lackeys, installed by the Russians. Now North Koreans are just cheap labor and cannon fodder for the Chinese.

Strange to worry about a flag a piece of cloth and not think of the slaves up North or the ones the Nork thugs have killed in the South. Kind of sick actually.
