You are stuck in the country until you get your ARC back from Immigration.
Friendly advice: Your post looks like a beginner EFL student typed it. This is supposed to be a forum for professional English teachers. I know the post is not your doctoral thesis. It so happens that the post is neither a text message nor a tweet. |

Agreed. But can we police everybody?
Let the guy have his say. In this day and age it's a losing battle. |

If you've just applied for it and only just surrendered your ARC to them, did you ask them about your planned trip? If not, then that surely is what you'd need to do, I reckon.
FWIW, when applying for an F5 visa, they took my ARC for 3 months. I asked about leaving the country and was told that if I was planning a holiday I should either delay the holiday or delay the visa application. If I had to leave Korea at short notice, I could do so but the visa application would be cancelled and I'd have to re-apply when I got back. No idea if any of that would be similar for an F6. |

Correct punctuation and spelling are the least of my worries while walking down the street but I appreciate your concern.
I made a trip back to Omokgyo and yes, I can leave the country. You can also use an alien certificate for the same purpose as your ARC.
Immigration were surprisingly helpful for once |

Get a Certificate of Alien Registration from the immigration office.
It will suffice until you get your new ARC.
There is a small fee attached to getting it.
If you are in Seoul it is the office to the LEFT as you go in the doors instead of to the right. (the usual office for the stuff we do is the one on the right).

I can't remember, but do you have to show your ARC when coming through immigration at the airport? Isn't your passport with the visa in it enough? I usually kept my ARC in my passport anyway, but I can't remember being asked for it upon re-entry. |

You need it at check-in abroad to show residence (avoid problems with not having an exit ticket) and may be asked for it on entry to Korea (since it replaces the re-entry permit for registered aliens (ARC holders).
