pegasus64128: we're generally friendly and all across the board - the board being ESL Cafe - The Cosmic Hum has never trolled for lulz. Well, at least not to my knowledge. Well, TCH has had some grammar trolls, but hey.
Anyway, I'm interested in the Higgs-boson particle. I'm not sure how to approach the discovery. I accidentally rented "Tree of Life" from the DVD shop and started jabbering on about it and found myself unable to explain it in layman's terms to my friend.
And the overview of the Standard Model, it's nice, but I do read up a bit. Makes me wonder why you brought up 'intelligent design' but yeah. |
Point taken. Actually I have more of a Zen Buddhist view of God - neither benign nor sinister but also not necessarily nonexistent. I believe it's in all of us. We're all connected to it. Some of these subatomic particles are within all of us whether we like it or not. It's up to the individual to choose whether they feel it has some wider significance or not. But I don't want to digress into that here. The view of atheists is that any God would be unknown and unknowable. I believe the former but not necessarily the latter. |
