I am currently looking in to applying for a master's degree back home starting next year. A couple of the courses I'm looking at require some prior study of statistics. Are there any universities in the Seoul area that one can study stand alone modules in statistics?

If you can't find a university course, how about something like http://www.udacity.com/

They have a beginner's module in statistics, and it's free. I might try it after I finish my Master's (I know that doesn't make sense, but the stats training provided on my course has been woeful).

I'd check out MIT and Harvard's online classes for the added cache, but that's just me.

Below you can find info on a very cheap way to get some math credits through ALEKS http://www.aleks.com/about_aleks/ace_credit

Students can receive college credit for American Council on Education (ACE) credit-recommended ALEKS courses. To receive credit, a student must assess at 70% or greater on the course material for an ACE credit-recommended ALEKS course and be registered with the ACE Credit Online Transcript System. Once ALEKS and ACE have confirmed the student's completed work in ALEKS, an ACE transcript is provided. The ACE transcript can then be used to request up to three semester hours of college credit per course at educational institutions that grant credit for ACE credit-recommended courses.

ACE Credit-Recommended ALEKS Courses:

Beginning Algebra
Intermediate Algebra
College Algebra
Trigonometry
College Algebra with Trigonometry
PreCalculus
Introduction to Statistics
Business Statistics
Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences

A Chinese friend of mine is transferring from a university in South Korea to one in France. She said that a Korean degree is only useful in Korea. An online course for a degree in another country is advisable.

I'm not looking at doing a degree here. I'm only looking at studying one or two modules in statistics which are a prerequisite for the course I want to study.

Thanks for the suggestions above.
