So i am really confused about what is going to happen with immigration once I finish my epik contract now
What do I need to do to switch MOEs? Do I need to go to the immigration office in the new city before my current contract is done? Or do I need to wait for my contract to be done with and then go to immigration? |

have you signed a new contract ? or you are just looking to do so?
if you've signed a new contract, take that with you to your current Kimmi office; they'll tell you what to do next.
after you've moved, you'll register with Kimmi in your new area. |

If you have a new job already then you transfer to the new job at the immigration office in whose jurisdiction you will be residing in.
If you don't have a job already then switch to a D10 at the end of your current contract.
In either case the change MUST be completed before your ARC expires and can be done up to a week before your contract ends.

I have the EPIK contract with the NOA already.
So I should go to the other places Immigration office? I heard about needing some kind of business number or something? |

the school will have that number - Kimmi will call them for it if it's not on the contract but chances are if they've had another teacher already before you then the number is on file.
you don't need to go until you move. |

For an end of contract transfer to a new job you need:
ARC
passport
new contract
new employer's business registration (copy)
letter of guarantee (sponsorship)
application (at the counter in the immigration office)
fees (60k for the transfer (change of employer) and 30K for the extension of stay).
With a NOA in hand you can also pop over to Japan (or anywhere else that is cheap) and get a new visa if you prefer to do that rather than transfer.

It MUST be done BEFORE your ARC expires and can be done as early as your last week of your old contract.
