When you need to know what a word or idea means, try this in google (www.google.ca). This is the command (without the quotations):

"define: XXXXX"

It gives you a pretty good list of definitions, including their sources. Good for articles and tech queries.

There are a fair few tricks you can use when using search engines generally - maybe everybody knows these but :
Using " " allows you to search for entire strings eg:
Searching the following

Daves ESL Cafe

would make google search all sites that contained the word Daves, the word ESL and the word CAFE
Searching

"Daves ESL Cafe"

means it searches for sites where those words appear in the that form, ie, next to each other.

You can also the + sign to combine seaches, e.g.

ESL + resources

or a really advanced one Wink

"ESL teaching" + resources

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but maybe someone out there dosen't know this!
There are more as well.

I did a search for a website that would show the conversion of liters to quarts and it automatically told me the measurement.
