Holy crap that's cheap! Are you sure you're not missing some zeroes? 
I think our monthly health care insurance is almost double that amount and we've always been healthy. |

Even a c-section (assuming you have insurance and don't need the neonatal ICU) only runs about 1 million plus prenatal costs.
We paid out about 1 million in total (prenatal, birth and post natal care (private room, western menu, etc.)) and another 300k in total for all immunizations from birth to 6 years.

| Can I ask you guys a questions about the shots for the baby? Did you allow them to give your baby that shot where it leaves about 8-10 holes in a rectangular pattern in their arm that you see on all the Korean kids nowadays? Does it even go away? I don't want my baby branded like that. |

This is the new style (expensive.. 70,000won) BCG vaccination.
In the UK, at least when I was a young whippersnapper, they do a test at about the age of 12 years old to see whether you need a TB innoculation or not. I didn't need one because I was already immune to TB. In Korea it seems to be an innoculation given to you whether you need it or not at a very young age.
On the positive side, they didn't try to mutilate my son's johnson yet! |

As for shots, you have choices Dodge...ask the doctor when the time comes. |

Yes, and it pretty much disappears by about the age of 6-8 with most kids.

Wouldn't you think there would be a better way to give shots than what they are doing now? Leaving 10 dents in your child's arm for 7 years is ridiculous, not to mention it looks a bit unsightly, too. |
