This question has probably been asked before, but I just ran a search and didn't see anything on it. If you're leaving Korea, what is the standard prodecure for getting your final month's salary and severance pay? In my company, we get paid on the 25th of every month, but I have to leave Korea by June 28th (the date on my ARC). Of course, I have to close my bank account before I leave, so how should I expect to be paid? I have a feeling my boss will say that he'll send it to me in the USA, but there's no way I'm accepting that. I know I'll never get it.
Thanks for your help. |

They should deposit all thet they owe you in your account on the 25th. That gives you 3 days to close evrything and leave. |

How many days do you have after your contract expires? I finish on the 18th of July. Is it 7 days or 10 days? |

Once your director notifies immigration you have 14 days and then you must leave. |

No u dont u have 0 days. If you overstay your visa one day you will be fined at the airport. There is no magic grace period as some of you think. I dont know where how or why you guys think this but I called immigration at the airport and they said no way. 0 days grace and she spoke english so she knew what i was asking |

You have zero days. Kristsoy is correct.

You should have pay in your hand when you walk out of the hagwon for the last time, or in the bank the morning of your last day of work. You seem lucky as the pay is the 25th and you are 28th. Only three days to worry about.
You can apply for 30 days overstay. This would be a guarantee to collect your money. Don't worry about a place to stay either, you have the school apartment. |

Right, the 14 day grace period applies to people who get out of their contracts early: They have 14 days to find another job or leave. If your contract is up, then you ARC should be up as well, which means, as other have said, there is no grace period. However, if you need a few more days to sort out your departure, you can get an extension at the immigration office. It costs 30,000 won. |

also if u need to extend your visa you can do it for 2 or 3 days or 5 or 1, but it probably still costs 30,000 30 days is the max not the minimum. |
