'Britain's Atlantis' - a hidden underwater world swallowed by the North Sea - has been discovered by divers working with science teams from the University of St Andrews.
Doggerland, a huge area of dry land that stretched from Scotland to Denmark was slowly submerged by water between 18,000 BC and 5,500 BC.
Divers from oil companies have found remains of a 'drowned world' with a population of tens of thousands - which might once have been the 'real heartland' of Europe.
A team of climatologists, archaeologists and geophysicists has now mapped the area using new data from oil companies - and revealed the full extent of a 'lost land' once roamed by mammoths.

But of course.

Its always amusing to see the eternal surprise of scientists when their discoveries keep reaffirming the biblical account.

We know there was a massive global flood that buried and destroyed human civilisation, that contributed greatly to the extinctions of mammoths and numerous other creatures. A severe tectonic upheaval that re-arranged landmasses, that buried and fossilized mass graveyards of animals. And we've known this for millenia. Its not new knowledge.

Junior, did this flood take 13,000 years? I thought it was more like 40 days...

The 13000 years figure is a figment of the researchers imagination. Its a guess designed to fit in with their other ideas.

The cataclysmic global flood is attested to, however, by the lore of virtually every culture on earth- including even every Amazonian tribe.

The flood lasted about a year. It ocurred about 4000 years ago.

Sneer if you must. The real-world evidence is on my side, and it entirely backs up the biblical account.

Every, literally EVERY, culture or civilization has had a tale of a great flood. So if the fossil record ever confirms those stories, it would hardly be a vindication for the inaccuracy of bible history.

The story of the flood is probably the only thing every ancient culture had in common. It's ubiquitous through human history.

The "Britain's Atlantis" proves without doubt that there was a rise of water that flooded extensive areas. In fact we can see that it flooded all the coastal regions of the world. What we call the continental shelf.

One that covered the centre of continental land masses too.

Thats why sea fish such as herring are found in eg Africas great lakes, even though these lakes were never connected to the sea.

Quote:
phylogenetic reconstructions indicate that herring colonized West Africa 2550MYA, at the end of a major marine incursion in the region

The evidence for a massive and catastrophic global flood is everywhere. It is only because atheists are in control of academia.. that such evidence is worded and skewed to ignore the biblical account.
