Hey there,
I have a super long layover in Incheon airport, and am Canadian,
does anyone know if I need a visa to venture into Seoul or can I go without? |

Canada and Korea have a visa waiver agreement. All you need is a valid passport. Bonus, you can tour around Korea up to 180 days. |

If there was any airport that I'd want to be stuck in for that long, it'd be Incheon with it's comfy free wifi lounges, jimjilbang, and wide variety of food options!
Though with that much time just take the AREX directly to Seoul Station, haha. |

You're being sarcastic, right? Incheon is a nice airport, but that's my one biggest grievance. Culinary-wise the place is an absolute desert....unless you consider "wide variety" to be the difference between "Bimimbap" and "Bibimguksu". Thank god there's a KFC. foodwise it's a million miles from Changi. |

Don't forget about McDonalds and Burger King, if you feel saved by fast food joints. I've never been to Changi, but Incheon is way better than the Beijing airport. I've only been there twice, on my way home for Christmas last year and on my way back, but at 6:30 on a Wednesday night it felt deserted. Almost everything was closed, not that it looked like there was much of anything to choose from anyway.
But yeah, if you're here for more than a day, definitely leave the airport and head into Seoul. Do you know anybody who lives here? |
