Firstly, it's not slander it's libel.

There is a difference between the two in that libel needs to be written in permanent form of some sort (newspapers, internet forums). Slander is words spoken verbally.

Secondly, based on my knowledge of the libel laws you have a case if you were in the UK or the States. Korea has slightly different defamation laws but based on what you say then you'd be good to go.

From wiki: Korea is interesting as true & false statements are punishable criminally & civilly with defamation; any words harming another can be considered illegal and may be punishable with fines and imprisonment up to seven years

Benjamin, this happened in an interent forum. It is libel.

Update. The cyber police called the husband of the woman and had her delete it. The post is gone but the damage remains. I am asking about lawyers and my husband said that WE need at least 2.5 to start. Great. Gotta love a legal system where the victim has to be rich enough to defend themselves. Also, the police are saying I can't do anything about the vandalism.

It's crap.

Got those, and hardcopies too.

Sue her. If you don't take action she will continue to bully people the way she has done to you. This is a fight worth fighting.
On a side note, how supportive is your husband? He didn't shower himself with glory in your first post.

Amazing that the cyber police didn't make her publicly apologize.
