|
|
My little sister has asked for my help and I'm trying to think of something.....
She is starting a contract at a public elementary school in Seoul next week. First she has orientation for a couple of days at the education office. The education office has asked her to show the teachers an activity that she would use in the classroom at the orientation. She is also suppose to bring some materials (although just a hand out is probably alright).
Please let me know what you recommend.
Thanks!!!!! |

So she's starting a new job, and they ask her to give a presentation as though she were an experienced teacher?
She could try something from the school textbook and demonstrate
a section of the lesson.
Many schools won't allow teachers to do anything outside of the
textbook, so use what you've got. |

i agree, usually a teacher would teach part of the curriculum. something such as days of the week would be safe ground. she should ask the school what they expect specifically and get a copy of the syllabus / schedule. |

wow them with a pp presentation - pick an easy topic that suggests visuals, such as holiday comparisons, foods, the way people introduce themselves (bowing vs shaking hands) etc.
keep it SHORT - 4-5 pgs - large fonts, not a lot of text.
good luck! |
