Never consult "the Internet" when you have medical symptoms - apparently never consult a forum either.. Unless you want to be utterly freaked out..

That being said - I hope it's really just muscle water loss!..

Are you weighing yourself at the same time every day?

You mentioned in the OP that you measured in different places. Believe it or not your weight fluctuates a LOT throughout the day. I -for one- dump about 2kg just by going to the toilet. Furthermore, although most people feel the need to urinate at 200ml, your bladder can hold upwards of 500ml, that's another half kg.

Add to that the amount you've been sweating lately due to the hot weather, and any digesting food in your stomach, I think you can see how 5kg isn't all that much.

Try measuring yourself consistently as soon as you wake up every day for a week, and see what they yields.

Thanks everyone. My eating habits have remained pretty constant and I've actually been eating more recently, albeit healthier. I was thinking I might have lost some in the muscle department as I was doing 100 kg on the incline but could only manage 80 kg today.

As for bedroom exercise, that's pretty constant...no more than normal.

As a side note my mother had diabetes and I have also been quite fatigued and urinating/drinking frequently so I feel I should get some blood work done just to be on the safe side.

Thanks again.

If you had more experience, you'd recognize that dropping a few kilos on a lift will happen, especially if you're dehydrated. Did you make the mistake of eating anything extremely salty during the day or the previous, like ramen (trust me, best food to ruin a workout)?

As for your weight loss, go for a blood exam and stop stressing about it. Go to an internal medicine (naekwa) specialist to get that done.

Flakfizer, that was truly humorous Very Happy

There are several reasons why someone might undergo a rapid weight loss. Not many are good. ( unless you are trying to meet your weight
class in wrestling or boxing ).

The OP said there is a family history of diabetes. Diabetes is one of those bad reasons for weight loss. It doesn't necessarily make you feel bad at all. But it might eventually rob you of your kidneys, feet and eyesight, before it robs you of your life. HIV is not good either and does not have to be an STD. I would see a doctor. STAT. Then, you can feel good about
the opportunity to indulge in your favorite foods, without guilt.
