It's that time of year again where we celebrate how one night love was changing the minds of pretenders!

HAPPY EARTH, WIND, and FIRE DAY* EVERYONE!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfLEc09tTjI

This is a thread where we talk about the music of Earth Wind and Fire, the song that made September 21st E,W,F day, and the many covers of this great song!

So sit back, and enjoy the sounds of Earth Wind and Fire! (and or covers)

One rule for this thread, DO NOT POST THE POMPLAMOOSE COVER! Last year the tread became mostly people bitching about them.

*Earth Wind and Fire Day may or may not be a real holiday, but it should be!

I'm sure we can get it on the calendar of The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

It doesn't really have the panache of "Talk Like a Pirate Day".

I always thought it was "...the very first night of September". Thanks OP.

By the way, another favorite song of mine starts with a September date. Any guesses?

911 is a Joke - Public Enemy.

Carlton Banks: "A get up, a get down, 9-11 is a...joke in your town
Jazz: Man, that used to be my favorite song.

As for The Elements, nothing like some good 'Kalimba Story'

But my fav has to be "After the Love Has Gone"- GOOD memories to this song.

Back in time I used to spit when I heard the name Earth Wind and Fire, but they do actually have sort of a nice way about them.
