I will be in Gangwondo for a year and am looking for a cheap alternative for local calling only.
Does anyone have a cheap Korean phone for sale? Or seeking someone to take over a contract? If it is contracted, please let me know the contract detail (length, price, etc.)
No phone available yet, so email only
Thanks, |

If you're interested in just making phone calls and texting, I have an old Samsung phone with two batteries and a charger. I had pre-paid service with LG U+ on it, but the service has been disconnected. You'd have to set up the service again. I am willing to sell it for 40K won. PM me if you want it. |

What model is the phone? Can I go on a SK or Ollah network? The town I am in only has those two service provider.
If interested, can we meet near PyeongChang, Wonju or Seoul? Newbie, still haven't figure out my bus route... The phone has no contract? So I can simply buy the Korean network prepaid phone card for it, right? |

I can ship it to you. LG U+ phone does not require sim card. Instead, you'd have to go to LG phone store and register the phone and get a phone number. You can prepay 5,000 won increment of calling and text messaging service. When you run out of money, you can buy more online or by visiting any LG store. |

Yeah, of course! It's easy as pie, you don't have to wait around for half an hour while the shop checks, double checks, makes calls to check etc etc. Just buy a sim card from a shop, just like back home!
That's lousy sarcasm, of course. |
