I am hoping Joe just cuts loose and rambles off about things. It would be entertaining.

I think both will at least act they're happy to be there. It'll probably be more entertaining than the debate last week.

Yes.

Biden will score points against Ryan, although Ryan is skilled enough to avoid outright embarrassment. I predict that Biden will call out Ryan's lies but will also overreach, especially after his boss's meek performance.

I was thinking that Ryan should pick up some debate tips form the Palinator seeing the she debated Joe 4 years ago.

Funny thing, as time has gone on, the more and more I like Biden for really no reason other than he's entertaining. Really, he should retire and move on to TV in the form of a reality show or something. Something where he's allowed to be uncensored and just blather.

Gotta agree, although I wouldn't mind if Obama wins and 1-2 years from now he really is truly sick of his job and resigns and Biden becomes President.

That was the plan all along.
He's just Biden his time...

I suspect that Biden will be pressured to stay very much on-script with his answers, and look very insincere and wooden in the process. Or he'll go totally off the rails and make it up as he goes.

Either way, I dont see this going well for him.

No, he's like Cheney- he'll be too old to run in 2016. He's turning 70 next month. He's also like Cheney in saying plenty that will alienate too many potential voters.

Should be interesting.
Unfortunately, the VP debate has almost zero influence on the overall outcome.

Very true. The debate is only relevant if the President should later die in office.

Meanwhile, they can't allow Gary Johnson to participate in any of the debates.

I think what Dick Cheney had to say was rather relevant to goings on in the Bush administration.

Relevant, sure.. but has no effect on the outcome of the election.

Bentson absolutely dominated the 1988 VP debate vs Dan Quayle (not the toughest competition to be fair) and Dan became VP on a ticket which got 420-odd Electoral college seats.

Meh. Yeah, in 2000. Irrelevant by 2004.
