(Sorry no spank material here about 16 year old girls in uniforms.)
There's a private boys elementary school near me and the wee ones wear what has to be the cutest uniform. They all wear white shirts, little black bow ties, and black waiter jackets. I kid you not. It's so cute and funny to watch a little pack of six year olds in black tie all walking to school in that way small Korean children walk together... kind of like a herd of young deer, half scared by everything and half in awe. |

Some of my students go to a private elementary school that has the worst uniforms I've ever seen - pink and lavender jogging suits. I feel sorry for my grade 6 boys whenever I see them. |

I know what you mean by uniforms that run the gambit from cute to atrocious.
A middle school near where I work has all the students wearing bright yellow sweatsuits with a black stripe down the leg....kind of looks like prison issue

In Japan some principles really get all sweaty over the dress length. In my Korean class Japanese students always complain about horn-dog principles who make the skirt length ultra short. |

I've always been distrubed by Canadian catholic schools that continue to make girls wear a traditional Catholic school uniform. After the whole Paul Bernardo school girl killer thing, you would think catholic schools would have long ago taken a hard second look at dressing girls in what long ago became a fetish. |

Ever notice the boy's uniform in Japan? When I was in Osaka all the boys wear these black tunics and black pants. But then they slap on white adidas runners. At first you're a bit like "Wow, Run DMC has a hardcore following among Japanese youth" before you realize "oh, wait, that's a school uniform". It's really the funniest thing to see a nation of boy dressed like Darryl McDaniels. |

That'd be very Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon.. :D
As for me, I can always appreciate uniforms, since they were a big part of my school life. I'm proud of mine, and it's good to see it when kids wear theirs with pride too.
It's not my business, but I'm not terribly fond of those kids who have their shirts out, ties loose, and wrong socks. I must be insane.
