Some Homeplus stores carry a variety of American craft beers. The Homeplus near me has the Indica IPA and Tangerine Wheat beer while the Homeplus a bit further away has Rogue beers, Anderson Valley, and the aforementioned brews. The prices range from 5-8,000won.
"That's too expensive" I hear you cry. Worry not my friends.
7brau IPA is now available in cans from selected Homeplus stores. It is 2,600won a can which isn't cheap but it's cheaper than the craft beers. The catch is that it's VERY difficult to find. I went to my local Homeplus and was told they didn't have any. A call to 7brau and a couple of hours later I was told that the same store did have 7brau after all. I went back and bought 6 cans and now they are chilling in my fridge.
For some reason they seem to be hiding the 7brau so you may need to search high and low to find it.
Good luck beer lovers and if this doesn't make you happy then you can get bent.
Here's a link to a list of the selected Homeplus stores that carry 7brau

I live on the edge of Suwon, and I'm always surprised by what the local Emart starts selling regularly.
At first, there was never any sour cream or avacados; now, they're both a regular thing. Next, it was Schweppes ginger ale; I almost bowled over when I saw that. I prefer Canada Dry, but I'll take what I can get.
I'll be surprised if they start selling that delicious Tangerine wheat beer, but strange things seem to happen in that rural Emart, so you never know. If I see it, my twice/month visits might become once a week or more. |

You can get Anderson Valley and Rogue beers in Korea now?? That's awesome.
5-8K for one I assume? Hell, that's about as much as it costs for a pint of either one here at a bar, could be worse |

No such thing anywhere.
Just kidding. I'm just not a fan of wheat beers nor ones with fruit flavors so that's a double combo of blah for me.
Each to his/her own though! |

Ha! You sound like my friends last weekend.
I enjoy the Tangerine stuff. I tried it for the first time last year and had it a couple times after. But I hadn't had any for nearly a year until I got my hands on a few bottles last weekend.
It's definitely on the sweet side, so I usually only have about 3 or 4 during the course of an evening, and then move on to something else.
Most of the time, I go for dry beer, and even stouts are growing on me. I'm all over the place, really. |

Yeah, I used to be more open-minded about beers, but I became a hops and IPA addict and find it hard to drink much else now. German beers seem flat and blah to me now (for the most part).
Still enjoy a stout from time to time though! |

Well whaddya know! Went to my local Emart tonight, here on the edge of Suwon, and they have Indica, Great White, and my fave - subjectively delicious - Tangerine beer.
Sipping one as I type. Ahhh...
So much for my decision to detox for the next couple months before I head home for the Holidays. Or perhaps I'll just indulge for a few days and start again on Monday... cause that idea always works... right?
I don't drink much, but with this stuff available, it'll be harder to resist. |

I miss seasonal beers, like pumpkin ales or any of Pyramid Breweries winter selections. Have you ever seen seasonal beers in Korea? Either in stores or pubs? |

I want to see Labatts Dry Ice and Labatts Blue over here. Don't know why only the crap beer gets exported over here. I mean Moosehead green? Really? |

Hey there,
I'm Jason, one of the founders of the Magpie Brewing Company. I think that craftworks has another seasonal in the mix. You'd have to ask them though.
We may be doing a winter seasonal but I can't say what it'll be For sure though, very soon, we will be adding an Amber to our line up. |

We have a Brew Shop near Itaewon. Go out of Noksapyeong Station, Exit two, and walk towards Seoul Tower. There will be an overpass foot-bridge. Cross it, and we are right next to The Baker's Table--we're in the same building but more in the alley. There's no sign. Open Tues-Sunday, 4pm-11pm.
Oh, I should also mention that we are available at Vatos, Phillies, and Around the Corner. Vatos and Phillies are open way later than we are. |

I've become a Cass-man, it's really quite sad. Probably a "real beer" would knock me on my rear now... |
