We own a 3 story, three unit apartment complex in Seoul. We have 4 parking places under the units and we also have a storage unit built after the construction of the apartment. The district office says we can't keep the storage unit. The reasoning is it was not part of the building plan. The storage unit is not a permanent structure, but they insist we take it down. It's a long shot, but does anyone have a place or answer to the building code regulations? It seems to me if our building provides the necessary parking spaces that should be sufficient. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the land office near your local Gu office and ask them.
It's all about building codes, pyong size and taxes, not parking spaces. It sounds like you made changes to your property without notifying the proper authorities. |

Thanks for the info. Have already checked, but they have yet to produce the law about a non permanent structure. The storage space was just that a storage space (picture a shed) on my property. |
