Hi, I'm looking to learn a little about Korean politics, having been active in my own country before I left; I'm thinking that volunteering would probably be the easiest option - anything even vaguely political would be great for me.

Has anyone got any experience or ideas to share? I'm not sure where to start.

What political party or issue are you siding with here?

Do be aware that, unless you hold an F5, many political activities are expressly forbidden under your status of sojourn.

If your good at boxing, swinging a sledge hammer or throwing furniture, you can always help out in the Korean parliament,

Why would you want to become active and volunteer in Korean politics before you've learned about them? Try reading the English dailies (e.g. Korea Times, Chosun Ilbo) before you start getting involved. You might find it's nothing you want anything to do with at all.

If you really want to put your time into doing good, how about volunteering for a non-profit, like an orphanage, an animal shelter, a migrant workers' center, or a group that feeds the homeless? There are plenty of people that could use your time and talents.
