I'm going to be moving to Germany next September. I studied a little German in high school, but really could do with brushing up on the basics. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to study in Seoul? My guess is that the Goethe-Institut would probably be the best place, right?

I've searched "German Hagweon for adults" at Daum Map. All the good ones are in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The three of them are clustered between Gangam station and Yeoksam station. The other one is right next to Jonggak station.

I live in Mapo-gu. Those places are not really convenient. Ideally, I'm looking for places north of the river. I can locate hagwons quite easily. Recommendations for language academies, etc. are another thing altogether.

Not sure about classes but has the Goethe reopened yet? Looked like it had been abandoned for a long time, then last time I went past they seemed to have finally started construction on either a complete or pretty major rebuild.

As far as I'm aware, they are based in a temporary place at the moment.

The Goethe Institute is in the Seoul Square Building, the former Daewoo Building, across from Seoul Station.

Thanks but I tend to get very bored when being tutored one-on-one.

I've met a few Krauts of the international student variety around Sinchon. Might try meeting some at the places they hang (Bar Fly, Mike's Cabin, Battered Sole, etc.).
