|
|
I keep reading about blacklists on message boards. It feels Orwellian...like I should be afraid of something that remembers...so it begs the question:
What Blacklist? Is there an official blacklist somewhere...at local or national immigration or between the 'all seeing, all knowing' hogwans? From what I understand, there is no systematic blacklist, just word of mouth (which could be worse I think).
Am I wrong...is there an organized system? In a country such as Korea, where most laws are not taken seriously, I truly doubt a blacklist could ever get off the ground.
Perhaps I am not up to date. Your comments? |

Blacklists for teachers don't exist as such, for hagwons they exist in a manner of speaking. Immigration may flag an individual who has done something wrong, but it is most unusual. |

I would have been surprised if there was a system of blacklist reports going on at the institutional level.
Thanks for the reply |

I very much doubt that there's any kind of organized system, the English hagwon boom is too new and the competition is (usually) too cutthroat for hagwons to work together like that. Hell I think most bosses would love to see a horrible teacher working for a competitor. |
