There must be posts on here about Samhyook Elementary Schools, I am sure, but for some reason when I search it, nothing comes up, which I find very strange.

I'm wondering about the conditions and just the total feel working at any of the Samhyook Elementary Schools. I used to work at a regular Public Elementary School in Gyeonggi, so how Samhyook differs. I understand it ran by SDA, which I am familiar with a bit.

I am especially interested in knowing about Chuncheon Samhyook Elementary School. Anyone has worked there? Though I am interested to know about any Samhyook Elementary School in Gyeonggi, SEoul or Gangwondo.

If you work there, or have worked there, please let me know. Thanks.

Your romanization of the name is a bit off -- try samyook or samyuk.

Best luck in your research.

I worked at one for two years. It's likely that you will make a little more money than a typical public school for a lot more work, though Sahmyook's payscale may not necessarily keep up with the public school payscale as experience and/or qualifications increase. Personally, I preferred doing more work at Sahmyook than doing a lot less at my present job, but as I'm studying while also working, I don't mind too much.

The reasons I left the school was that: 1) it's an elementary school and 2) it's Christian. Personally, I work better with older students and I would rather not work in a religious atmosphere.

You should know that the SDA church verges on being unbearably cheap at times, which is comical when you consider that they're flush with cash from being a church, a corporation and a private school. My previous school improved after I left, but when I was there, the school tried to move all the teachers into tiny dormitories roughly half the size of a typical bachelor's apartment here, made us all clean our classrooms instead of asking the janitors to do it, and became rather stingy with pay increases.
