Hi all,

I'm in the process of applying to the GSIS's here in Korea and I'm wondering if anyone's got some experience in any of them they'd like to share.

I had my heart set on Yonsei as I've met the dean and really like him. He specializes in my field of interest and and I seem to have a good rapport with him.

The only thing that is making me think twice is I've noticed that the other GSIS programs such as Sogang, Korea University, and Ehwa seem to have a deeper curriculum. Classes such as KU's "future of war" or Sogang's "North Korea and East Asian Security" seem to indicate very well developed programs.

I plan on meeting some professors and the deans from the schools very soon and talking to current students. I just thought I'd get some info from you guys as well.

Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from ya.

Rather than start a new thread, does anyone have any experience or information on Sogang's GSIS program? Has anyone ever studied there, or know someone who has?

Thanks.

Sogang is alright. Really Yonsei is going to be the best- but most expensive- better quality of teaching and class, plus networks. KU and SNU are up there too, not as good, but better chance of a scholarship without sacrificing too much. The rest of them Ehwa, Sogang, Jungang, Hanyang etc are basic at best- although much better chance of getting a scholarship. If you enrol at any GSIS you can take I think two or so classes at other GSIS

Graduate School of International Studies. All the major schools in Korea (SNY, Yonsei, Korea, etc) have GSIS.
