HI everyone, I am a teacher hopefully returning to Korea next year. I have been offered a position at Topia Hagwon in daegu, Suseong Gu. I haven't heard of them before.

I used to teach at Moon Kkang and had nothing but a great experience. Does anyone have any info on this Topia branch that is current?

I checked a thread here but it's outdated and all about Topia in Seoul and suburbs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Nadine

Hi Way gook in,

Thanks, I did the same google search when I was first contacted. I didn't find anything concrete about the Daegu school. Hoping a former teacher or better yet, a current teacher can shed some light on them. Thanks for the suggestion.

Try searching google with this string site:forums.eslcafe.com

Brush up on your google skills. Even using something like site:kr might get you some stuff.

There is more to Korea then google. It may not get much by search on naver.com and other Korean portal sites.

TOPIA is a bigger chain. So read some of the threads here about the school. You will get a general idea on how it runs. Each school can be different.

I have tried several searches, on a number of sites, naver, google.kr, etc and found nothing about the Daegu branch. I've found lots of info on how bad the chain located in Seoul and suburbs is, but nothing even linked from them to the Daegu branch.

SO, I came here hoping someone had first-hand or even second-hand knowledge of this particular branch. They are the ones offering the contract and so I'd like to know a little more before signing. I'm not new to ESL in Korea, I just need a little help with this one thing.

Anyone who has knowledge of TOPIA hagwon in Daegu, I'd greatly appreciate some help.

Thanks

Hey Mrsk, did you find out any information about Topia in Daegu? I have an interview with them tomorrow and am having trouble finding information about that specific school.
