Hi

I am moving to Gimhae in a few weeks. Is anyone on this board currently living there?

hi. do you know where in gimhae?. koreans tend to say gimhae and mean the general area. there are lots of smaller towns and villages within. the two biggest are gimhae city and jangyu

My uncle lives in Naedong and I visit him every once in a while. I like it up there. It's cheaper and quite tranquil compared to Seoul.

Yeah, do you know where in Gimhae you're going? It could be that you're going to Gimhae proper, or you could be heading to Jangyu, Jillye, or even Jinyoung.

As for Gimhae itself, it's pretty cool. There's some good nightlife at Inje university, not to mention that partying in Busan is pretty easy to do (25,000W ~ 40,000W taxi fare, from Seomyeon and haeundae respectively).

There's a LOT of international presence, surprising for the size of the city. Central Gimhae has a huge population of Filipino, seouth-east asian, central-asian, and south-asian guest workers and business owners. This means you can access all manner of awesome food things, good beer (beer mart in Naeoedong), and etc.

It's also an awesome place to have a motorbike, if you're interested in that.
