I'm pretty sure nobody thinks you're condoning murder.

You need enough penetration to hit the vital organs to incapacitate a person. A long enough knife will do just that. In some cases more effectively than a fire-arm since small caliber rounds don't have that much penetration. |
Who takes a 'long enough knife' to ask their neighbours to keep the noise down?
I repeat; What a ****ing fruit cake. Korea hasn't used the death penalty for a few years but isn't this reason to? |

Bit more background.
Woman living on 6th floor
Her bf (killer) came around to visit. When he arrived she was on the intercom to the family upstairs. They were so loud - They had been causing noise disturbances for 10 years according to her.
He goes up and wants to sort it out.
Big family (because of Seollal) upstairs. 7th floor right above..
Killer said..lets go outside to talk or argue about it..
After they went out big argument and fight. He picked up or had knife and stabbed both of them. He fled but was caught in Suwon.
One of the two brothers had only been married two months.
The other had kids and a wife.
Terrible ending.
Not sure why the girl downstairs didn't let the police know about the disturbances if they had been ongoing for 10 years. |
Ten years? Wouldn't it have been easier to move? |

According to the known facts of the case, what we have is a situation that went from an argument, to a physical confrontation where 2 people were fighting against 1 person. The single person pulled a knife (99% likely) or found one (1%).
The big question is how quickly the situation escalated and if the two guys from the noisy apartment were confrontational and started the physical violence or did the killer lure them down with the purpose of pulling the knife and killing them?
If the argument rapidly escalated at the killer's urging or if he lured them down there, clearly he is the nutcase we all think he is.
However, if the fight occurred out of a general escalation or the two family members were aggressive towards the killer and started attacking him, in such a situation, if a guy is confronted 2-1, the use of a weapon may or may not be self-defense.
It should be noted that the victims were likely under the influence of alcohol. |

True, but stabbings generally aren't fatal unless the would-be killer is pretty determined. Killing two attackers while defending yourself with a knife seems unlikely. I think the circumstances will be much more clear once the wounds are examined closely. |

Who carries a knife to ask their neighbors to quiet down? |

Depends on the knife. Also, the translation may have been vague and it could have been an improvised stabbing instrument.
Or the guy was completely nuts and went berserk. |

haha, yeah. Isn't that a pro-authoritarian state point of view? That slope be slippery as hell. |
