This is probably due to my lack of internet surfing skills but I couldn't really find a comprehensive listing and description of the clubs in Deaguy

I plan on going there this Saturday night for come clubbing and bar hopping (Daejeon last week was great!). There was some info on here and other threads and I did try googling but nothing that satisfied me.

What I'm looking for are bars and clubs and what kind of environment are in each. I've heard all the clubs in the same general area downtown.

there's also G2, which I personally don't like because it's more loud than any other club, but they do offer some interesting specials, like free bbq with your cover.

Next door is Buddha, which is more an upscale wine lounge but the interior is awesome.

Can someone give me a up to date breakdown on the Daegu nightlife?

I am primarily interested in clubs (not bars) that play mostly American top 40 / hip hop / r&b.

Not really big into the house / techno scene.

My personal favs:

GoGo Party - Baggy cocktail place, $5 anything you want. They will put in as much alcohol as you want in your mix.

MF Bar - Currently the main foreigner hangout, good place to meet new people. The male/female split is a bit more even here than other places.

Thursday Party 2 - This is NOT Thursday Party 1, far less hectic, and the bar will make anything you want.

Traveler's - Nice place to just grab a table, and hang with some friends. IMO they serve up some of the best burgers in Daegu. Don't order the poutine.

Who's Bob - I basically come here to play pool, but the social crowd is usually decent.

Organ - Nice mellow place if you want to chat without the noise. Very warm atmosphere.

Communes - I don't personally go here as much, but if you're looking to meet some cool people, especially from UK/Ire/NZ/Aus, this is the place.

Caliente II (formerly Champs) - Can get fairly loud, but the workers are fun and accommodating. This place is between GoGo Party and MF, and draws a larger Korean crowd if you want to try and mingle with the locals. They also have Foosball, and a commonly vacant pool table.

Jeeep - Lots of people swear this place off (loud music/smoke), but if you're nearing the end of your night and want to dance w/o the club fee, this place is decent. Most weekends it draws a decent crowd of both teachers and Koreans.

Thursday Party 1. (Just wait until after curfew if you don't want to hang with the army dudes).
Old School/Skool.
JJs.
Many others.. Daegu has lots of bars, all relatively close together. Just explore until you find one you like.

Clubs: I don't frequent clubs, so here are the 3 I've been to.

Pasha - Almost always dead when I go with friends, but sometime you get lucky. I know some people hate larger crowds, but Pasha is usually beyond dead.

Frog - Larger crowd, mostly Koreans, but many teachers as well. This is my recommendation, if you want to check out a Daegu club.

G2 - Pretty much a Korean hot mess, but if you want to dance with the locals, be my guest.

All the clubs, like the bars, are all in the same block, pretty much. Explore until you find one you like.

wa bar has a very western freindly, lay out. its menu is in english too. you can also get specials on certain beers at the CU. When buying here you often find that they have a table outside where one can sit and enjoy the true spirit of Daegu.
Later, when one has consumed enough soju mixers, simply head down to the train station where there are true Colourful, Daegurians who wont turn you away if you have a cigarette for them.
