|
|
I'm trying to pull some videos off youtube and use them in my class. I need them to be WMV files so I don't have to be online to watch them. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers. |

If you are running Firefox...you can get he "download helper" add-on and download any streaming media file you view.
If not firefox, I am sure there is a similar addon for other browsers. The download helper will allow you to select the format in which you want the file to be downloaded in. |

OR get a video downloader (there are lots of them to add on to most of the popular browsers) and then use something like "Any Video Converter" to change them from .flv to whatever format you prefer to use: .wmv, .avi, .mp4, mpg, etc.

I tried Any Video Converter and it didn't work. My computer at school only has Windows 2000 on it. I'm sure that has something to do with it not working. |

besides stating the obvious that ur OS is quite a bit outdated, you might want to give the converted files a try with this...

VLC will play anything and that includes .flv files that come direct off of youtube. No need for conversions or extra codecs to make your windoz media player work.

aware of that; however, doesnt make much sense reconverting files already converted. |
