|
|
After doing some research, I have even more questions about getting a phone here in Seoul. I'm hoping someone can clarify things, or give me advice on which route to take.
Things to note:
- I want the Galaxy S4 but can't find release date in Seoul anywhere.
- I could settle for S3 now, but value would drop if I wanted to sell it when the S4 comes out.
- I have a Motorola Atrix right now, from Canada, that I could unlock
- I have my ARC, korean bank account and a Visa credit card
My options (as I see them):
1) Get a SIM card to use in my Motorola Atrix. Would that require signing a contract? Would only prepaid be available? Do all providers offer SIM cards?
2) Sign a contract with a provider and get an S3 (for free?), and then pay to get out of the contract after 1 year. How much would I pay to get out of the contract? Also, I assume with this option I'd have to pay full price for S4 if I wanted to switch when it came out.
3) Buy an S3 myself (craigslist, yongsan, technomart, etc) and go to a provider to get sim card. If I do this, would I be able to get a deal on the S4 from same provider when it comes out?
Sorry for all the questions... it's just really hard to figure out what the best option would be, financially, without knowing all the details of what's available. |
