|
|
I've been doing weights 3 times a week (powerlifts and compound lifts)
for 2 months and I look bigger.
Taking whey protein, creatine, multivitamins, fish oil and eating lots of clean/healthy proteins and fats.
I think that it will take about 9 months, so 7 months left.
Any insight??
Thanks!!!! |

| Depends what you started at and how much you're eating. But no, after 9 months you won't look like some huge freak. You'll be bigger but it takes years of dedication to get noticeably bigger. |

Check out the Gym Regime thread. There's a dedicated group of us in there.
I've been lifting heavy for about 5 months now, and I wouldn't say I'm much bigger (haven't weighed myself in awhile now), but I'm definitely firmer looking. |

Age and genetics are important factors.
Don't give up. Keep at it. You might plateau for a while, maybe even a couple of years, but then little by little you'll start getting bigger than you had imagined possible. I was 70 pounds heavier than when I started when I was at my heaviest. |

| 3 times a week may be too much. Try twice a week. It gives you more recovery time in between. To gain maximum effect, eat protein like hell which will cause you to gain fat also. The fat you can lose later. |

| A lot depends on your body type and genetics. In university I had a roommate who worked out really seriously and ate super well. I made more gains in 3 months than he made in a whole year though, just because I have the type of body that does it easily, and he was what's referred to as a hardgainer, someone who (genetically I think) takes a lot more dedication to build muscle. |

The secret that no one in the fitness industry will tell the public is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get very big (i.e. a freak) taking creatine and the legal supplements on the market. Every guy promoting them is juiced. They didn't get that body from just taking creatine and fish oil and hitting the gym. But they want you to keep buying their products.
Natural guys have 2 choices...you can get bigger and be a little fat or you can be slim, tight, and toned like a lot of hollywood guys. But you can't be really big with a small percentage of body fat without steroids or HGH or the like. Your body can only build so much muscle naturally. |

That's not a secret. Everyone knows it.
And it is possible to get bigger naturally and stay lean. Why would you think someone need steroids to get to a lower bf%? That doesn't even compute. |

Do you find yourself looking in the mirror more and 'pouting?'

Be careful that doesnt become a full blown medical condition!
