What that article conveniently forgets to explain explicitly is that the economic impact that South Koreans fear most is the costs involved in annexing North Korea. If war breaks out, North Korea will lose and so its problems will become South Korea's problems. |

No, actually, China will make it their problem by streaming millions of soldiers in.
This is just one of the reasons why South Korea should be allowed nukes as a deterrent against Chinese aggression. |

We're not in the 1950s anymore. China wouldn't sacrifice its economy for North Korea. The most they'll do is send in soldiers to prevent North Koreans refugees from entering China. |
