There seems very little panic among foreigners this time round. But what would it take to get you packing?

Not sure I'd pack up at all to be honest, I don't think I could bring myself to leaving my GF, friends I've made here or my students behind to suffer. Would offer to help any way possible (giving blood etc). After 4ys here I feel at home almost as much as back in London.

You probably won't be accepted if you've traveled.

A flight attendant friend says she has seen a sudden spike in teacher-aged people leaving. Same totals in/out pretty much, but those leaving appear to be younger 20 and 30-somethings.

Gonna be a hard time for recruiters if this keeps up.

Correction: Your blood won't be accepted unless you are a 'pure blooded' Korean. They'd rather die than have their blood-line 'defiled' by a foreigner, never mind an 'English teacher.' Shocked

This is a temper tantrum on an international scale.

A little skirmish off the East Sea would do wonders for our negotiating position here. Bring it on.

North Korean leaders simply remind me of the typical boorish, immature, insecure, egotistical Korean male that we encounter every day in the south. The two countries really aren't that different.

Ajoshies to the north, ajoshies to the south. Confused

temper tantrums, yes...

seems we are all capable of them until we peel off our neurosis and gain a little gap of clarity

@WYD: I think as long as you can prove good health it shouldn't be an issue... I have done it before traveling during my first year here but also after a cleared medical exam a few years later.

@Scorpion: Considering I've already given blood several times... I'm convinced that you either have no idea what you're talking about, or you are being extremely sarcastic in an attempt to address your misfortune of generally not having a very good time here possibly due to meeting many unpleasant Koreans, which has lead you to misunderstand the culture and making rash generalisations. Confused
