Agreed. It reminds me of the '96 Atlanta Olympics bombing. |

No need to speculate. Alex Jones has it all figured out. As reported by David Weigel:
"Dan Bidondi, a "reporter/analyist" (sic) for Alex Jones's InfoWars, managed to ask Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick the very first question in a nationally televised press conference.
Why were the loud speakers telling people in the audience to be calm moments before the bombs went off? Is this another false flag staged attack to take our civil liberties and promote homeland security while sticking their hands down our pants on the streets?

Obama just finished his second announcement (11:30 AM). Nothing new except he did use the "T word", as one reporter called it.
Odd he would go on TV so soon again, but have nothing new to say. My inner Alex Jones says it means he's calming the terrorist(s) so t(he)y think(s) the Feds are not right outside the motel door. |

We now know there were only 2 bombs. Reports of more were mistaken. The 2 were pressure cookers filled with either gun powder or smokeless powder and nails, BBs, and ball bearings. |

No real evidence that it was someone domestic who is fighting anti-gun laws, yet every liberal worried about their god Obama's terrorism record is trying to pin it on gun-loving terrorists who are upset about gun laws or Tea-Party people.
Typical. |

With all of the evidence that shotgun-like BB's and metallic objects were used in the pressure-cookers, this is looking more and more like angry pro-gay, anti-2nd Amendment Liberal terrorists angry about meat consumption:
And now a Ricin-tained envelope was found in the mail. Ricin is manufactured from beans.... gawd, it's most certainly one of those flaming, bean-loving, anti-meat, anti-gun liberal domestic terrorists doing all of this!

Here's a brief history of pressure-cooker bombs: http://swampland.time.com/2013/04/16/a-short-history-of-pressure-cooker-bombs/
Although used by foreign/Muslim terrorists, "... the ability to make these bombs is hardly unique to al Qaeda and its sympathizers. Members of at least one prominent white supremacist website have shared terror tips from Inspire, which one called highly recommended reading. Pressure cooker bombs are also discussed in detail on this anarchist site, which describes how to build what is affectionately known as a HELLHOUND.

This should curl some toes:
Lets hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American
There is a double standard: White terrorists are dealt with as lone wolves, Islamists are existential threats
Because of these undeniable and pervasive double standards, the specific identity of the Boston Marathon bomber (or bombers) is not some minor detail it will almost certainly dictate what kind of governmental, political and societal response we see in the coming weeks. That means regardless of your particular party affiliation, if you care about everything from stopping war to reducing the defense budget to protecting civil liberties to passing immigration reform, you should hope the bomber was a white domestic terrorist. Why? Because only in that case will privilege work to prevent the Boston attack from potentially undermining progress on those other issues.

I saw the headline and salon and I knew it was David Sirota. I enjoy much of his work, but not this piece. I'll also have to forgive him for using the term 'white privilege.'
David Sirota wrote: |
Though FBI data show fewer terrorist plots involving Muslims than terrorist plots involving non-Muslims, America has mobilized a full-on war effort exclusively against the prospect of Islamic terrorism. |
Right. I don't think its the number of terrorist plots which motivates the American war effort but the number of terrorist victims from a single terrorist plot.
Not Mr. Sirota's best. |

Well, (militia) packs of (exclusively white) wolves intent on overthrowing a "tyrannical" government would probably have to kill way more than a few thousand people to realize their bloody goals... |

I was really shocked by the bombs. Who the hell bombs a marathon? How friggin wicked can one be....Then I remembered all the Boston Irish who financed and armed the IRA in N. Ireland for thirty years. They had to endure hundreds of bombs and thousands of casualties. And it was in no small part due to the moral, financial, political and material support offered from Irish Americans. This could be a learning moment for Boston's Irish.
Maybe someday their representatives might want to apologize to the people of Northern Ireland for the slaughter they helped create on the streets of Belfast.
Bombs ain't fun, now are they Boston? |
