Any tips for buying one?
A revised version may come out in June?
http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/04/28/upgraded-macbook-models-expected-to-highlight-wwdc-2013
...so I should wait until then to get one?
But new upgrades in June in the U.S. mean the new model may not come out in Korea until much later?
When did the most recent model hit Korea? Recently? Should I just get that?
Also, do you have any tips for getting a good deal?
I heard at one point (public school) teachers could get a "teacher's discount". Is that still available? (Maybe yes but less substantial than before?)
Any suggestions for when/where/how to buy?
Thanks guys for your help. |

I have the model that came out before the retina screens and I love it. Everything runs smoothly and the SSD helps to speed things up. The hardware is top notch, but I much prefer Windows to OSX so I installed Win7 via Bootcamp and it performs really well. |

At this point, the upgrades are marginal. Hell, even retina is not at all needed on a Mac Air. I've had the 11" and the screen was beautiful.
Just bear in mind that your keyboard will be in Korean if you buy here.
Also, consider not buying Apple goods; other netbooks are just as good, but aren't manufactured by people whose working conditions are so bad they prefer to kill themselves, with conflict materials from war-torn Eastern Congo.
Samsung makes good 'blade'-thick netbooks these days. |

um what? almost all pc's, netbooks, notebooks, etc (see: any electronics) are made in poor conditions by underpaid laborers using conflict materials.
in fact just a few companies make around 90% or some ludicrous number of consumer electronics.
apple is actually one of the better companies for workers rights in their production facilities even though that isn't really saying a lot. |
