Honestly, does my bank machine really need to blather on so much?

I've used an ATM machine about a thousand times over the years. I know how to do it. Do I really need some ajumma's loud recorded voice narrarating my every step during a transaction? It's so symptomatic of Korea in that a) nothing can be done without excessive talking at loud volumes b) nothing can be done without noise. Christ even my bloody washing machine gives me hell if I don't take out my laundry immediately. And my microwave oven always sounds like its pissed off at me. And the noise the friggin buzzer makes on my bus. Sounds like a regular buzzer is being tortured.

But it's the yappy ATM machines that get on my last nerve. I actually told one to "Shut the #$% up" yesterday.Laughing Do I really need a loud ajumma micro-managing my every step at the bank?

So my question is this. Does anyone know which banks have the least yappy ATM's.

good post! I agree.

That's the bottle of vino, metaphorically speaking, right?!?! Rolling Eyes

Hope that doesn't include going to class sloshed...

Stay off the booze, it'll kill ya... Wink

You guys will complain about anything.

My ATM complaint is how you deposit and withdraw money. The automated door that opens scares me and I feel that my fingers will one day be sliced off. Or at the very least, bruised.

Haha I do it QUICK! Razz I thought I was the only one. They slam closed with a right thunk!
