Even though it was running low on quality writing and plot lines, the show was still good.
Some things I really liked:
-Was glad to see Jim and Pam move on to bigger and better things.
-Stanley giving Phyllis the wood carving of her and highlighting their close friendship was a nice sendoff, too.
-Michael had some great lines, wish we saw more of him in the finale.
Not so good:
-Ryan giving the baby a strawberry to suck on even though he was allergic? Uh, not cool. Then giving the baby off to Kelly's boyfriend, abandoning him for the second time to run off with her. They will probably break up in a couple days anyway.
-Michael not saying anything to Toby. A punch in the face or a kind gesture would have went a long way.
-The first past dragged too much, and they could have used that time to slowly tie up some more loose ends (Scranton Strangler?).
Overall it was a great closure for the cast. Everyone had their happy ever after ending (except for Toby and Creed).
Wonder how Pam and Jim will do in Austin? There's an art scene there, so that will give Pam something to do and Jim with be busy with Athlede.
Thought it was also cool of Dwight to fire them to give them a severance package.
I would have loved one more season, just don't want to say goodbye yet... |

No they won't break up. Beacuse it's a fictitious tv show and now it's over. |

Don't wow me. You are the one displaying angst over a tv show and speculating about the futures of fictional characters. |

WOW you are an idiot. Do you think I REALLY care about those two morons on the show?
Why watch TV if you can't lose yourself in the plot, or watch a movie and escape for a while in the storyline? You are probably one of those losers at a party who sits there with a beer in his hands with no one else around you because you look angry and have a mean mug on your face. Let me guess no girlfriend, fat and ugly too. Am I right?
You are really bitter in life, you wanna tell ole Dodge what the problem is? |

I don't know what you care or don't care about. I was just replying to your post where you were upset about the lives of tv characters. The fact that you called two fictional characters morons demonstrates that you have an unhealthy perception of reality.
Nice, feeble attempt trying to peg me. Let me guess about you: Hate Korea but have a Korean wife and kid because that's the first women who ever gave you the time of day. Stuck here now because you wouldn't be able to support them back home and you are not happy about it. Justify the situation by saying your wife has a good job that she couldn't get back in Canada or where ever you are from. Am I right? |

You have successfully stalked and memorized my whole life on Dave's. Way to go.
So...anyway... any Office fans here? looks like everyone jumped ship a long time ago I guess. |

Honestly, I jumped ship about midway through the season after Michael left. I felt like the show jumped the shark around 5 or 6 seasons in. I can't remember exactly when. Maybe sometime back in early 2008 or 2009 I couldn't wait to watch the latest episode... Then it sort of tapered off. Too many other shows popped on my radar. Mad Men, the Lost finale (boo!), Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Dexter, etc.
Personally, I was really invested in Jim and Pam, but once they got together, got married, had kids, it felt like the major story arc had ended, and everything else was more... more... more.
I don't think I've ever laughed harder at a TV show than I did at the "Today, Smoking will save lives" episode where Dwight locked them inside and set off the fire alarm. But after that, I honestly can't recall much of what happened.
I'm happy the show concluded, and didn't get canceled. The cast and writers are very talented, and it certainly converted me from the naysayers where appalled they were going to remake such a brilliant British show. And to be honest, I like the U.S. version more (though Gervais is king of cringeworthy moments). |
